Shared Street opens on 43rd Street between Lexington & 3rd Avenue
Wednesday, August 29, 2018
The shared street on 43rd Street between Lexington and 3rd Avenue has opened and now provides areas to sit on rock bollards. Tables and chairs will be coming soon.
This project is funded through the East Midtown Governing Group. This is an example of public-private partnership as defined by the East Midtown Rezoning, where money is put into the fund for public realm improvements by developers who receive zoning bonuses to build taller and denser buildings.
