Young Professionals Networking Group Met to Learn About Renting vs. Buying in Murray Hill
Friday, May 25, 2018
On April 26, The Murray Hill Neighborhood Association’s Young Professionals Networking Group met at The Lindley, a new luxury condominium building on Third Avenue between 38th and 39th Streets. There was ample time to network and meet neighbors while snacking on hors d’oeuvres and wine. During the event a presentation and discussion focused on the pros and cons of renting versus buying an apartment in New York City, as well as what questions to ask when you are making these important decisions.
The speakers included Henry Urgo and Michael Monterosa, Sales Associates, The Lindley, Stephen Lascher, Wells Fargo, Stephanie Kim, Esq.,Weidenbaum & Harari, LLP, and Annette Beatrice, Leasing Manager, The Frontier. They presented some of the benefits of buying in The Lindley, specifically noting the building’s amenities and its 421-A tax abatement, which reduces property taxes for a ten-year period.
The group was also able to visit the rooftop garden with spectacular views and a beautiful two-bedroom model apartment in the neighboring rental building, The Frontier.
We are grateful to The Lindley for hosting this event and to the speakers for sharing their insights with us.
