Description

MHNA Street Festival Postponed Until 2022

The Trustees of The Murray Hill Neighborhood Association have made the difficult decision not to hold the MHNA Street Festival on July 31, 2021. While New York City government has opened up street festivals with very few COVID19-related restrictions, we do not feel that we will be able to hold a successful and productive event on such short notice.

Instead, we will be focusing our energy on planning for the 2022 festival. Next year’s event will be reimagined as a hyper-local arts and crafts festival that will be smaller than in recent years with a focus on artisans, small businesses, and local restaurants. We would like this new format to bring back some of the unique neighborhood personality that our block parties used to have, while allowing independent makers to showcase their wares. We will of course have our great MHNA tables, including the flea market, book sale, and bake sale.

If you are interesting in helping to plan the 2022 MHNA Street Festival, please reach out to Ashley Petrylak at info@murrayhillnyc.org.
