Openings for MHNA Board of Trustees
Wednesday, May 25, 2016
The Murray Hill Neighborhood Association's Nominating Committee is now reaching out to the community to find candidates who will serve as members of the MHNA Board of Trustees.
The essential qualification: trustees must have a passionate interest in continuing to make Murray Hill an incredible place to live, work and visit. The trustees accomplish this by creating various programs to help preserve the neighborhood's historic character, keep it safe, green and a great place to live, work and shop. Trustees also work hard to liaise with local government officials and provide information about the neighborhood to members of the MHNA. Trustees must be current members of the MHNA.
Board members are required to attend a monthly meeting, chair at least one committee and show support of the association by being involved whenever possible. While they must be members of the MHNA, no other financial support is required. An ability to fundraise is a plus.
We are looking for people with all kinds of talents, but this year we are particularly interested in identifying people with experience in architecture, data management, fundraising, historic preservation, law, marketing, website administration, and writing.
If you are interested in serving as a trustee, please send a brief email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with "Trustee" in the Subject, explaining why you are interested and how you think might help fulfill the needs set forth above, or how you might participate in improving the quality of life in Murray Hill.
The due date for all letters is July 1. Once letters are received, an introductory meeting will be arranged.
