Municipal Art Society Testimony on the One Vanderbilt project, November 17, 2014

Thursday, November 20, 2014

At a public hearing on November 17, the Municipal Art Society (MAS) expressed its support for the One Vanderbilt project but suggested a series of improvements to the design, public accessibility, and environmental standards of the building, which will top out at just over 1,500 feet and provide $210 million in transit funding for nearby projects. MAS called for improvements to the rezoning of the surrounding Vanderbilt Corridor, which would currently allow up to 30 FAR buildings on each of the five blocks.
