| The annual fund-raising dinner of TREES NEW YORK, a private, not-for-profit group, will honor MHNA for its Greening Program at the Racquet Club on May 3 at 6 p.m.
Over 36 years ago, MHNA was one of the first community groups to initiate this kind of project and it set a goal of planting 500 trees in Murray Hill. Today the association cares for almost 600 trees from Madison to First Avenues, from 34th to 39th Streets.
TREES NEW YORK promotes the planting, care and protection of New York's urban forest through education, training and volunteer coordination. For ticket cost contact the organization by e-mail at www.treesny@treesny.com, or by phone at 212-227-1887. |
