Description

Cheryl Warfield, Artistic Director of Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble, known as MOREOpera, is offering a FREE year-long series of classical vocal arts for children and youth, forming a children’s chorus. It is a music appreciation and chorus training program open to all children aged 6-14 (some age flexibility) so invite family, friends and neighbors too. There is no tuition fee.

The new series begins Sunday October 15.

Children will learn to sing classics and opera, be introduced to the rudiments of vocal technique, ear training and language arts, and perform in concerts and outreach programs to promote vocal arts and cultural enrichment. To start, the children will learn vocal and breathing exercises, posture and ear training while learning to sing as a group.

The upcoming sessions will be follow a 2nd and 4th Sunday schedule. Throughout the year, the children will offer choral concerts that will be open to the general public.
